If possible, enter all rooms available for sale. We often hear that a hotel will only offer 3 out of 10 available rooms via MeetingMarket as a test.
This strategy (I put only 3 rooms as a contingency) has already often proved to be extremely damaging to sales. The biggest problem is that if those three rooms are booked, your hotel is displayed as “fully booked” platform-wide. This makes the customer think it is pointless to phone to inquire whether there is availability.
Advice: If you want to sell something, you must put it on the shelf. Otherwise, you will probably find yourself sitting on unfilled capacity day in, day out for which there might have been demand.
